What is LabHUB?
The LabHUB framework is an Internet hosting service for software development of hands-on labs. It is a collaborative platform where whoever needs to be involved in building a lab can make their contribution.
LabHUB lives in the cloud and provides the distributed version control for lab development plus access control, bug tracking, software feature requests, task management, quality assurance, ADA accessibility, integration, and wikis for every project.
Main capabilities of the LabHUB platform
Bottling 20 years of experience
For over 20 years, dti Publishing has designed and developed high quality lab simulations. Over those years we have, through trial and error, painstakingly established a set of best practices for lab development both in terms of coding and in terms of processes and procedures. Today, LabHUB bottles those 20 years of experience in interactive exercise development. This makes for a uniquely efficient and reliable development platform.
LabHUB can accommodate many approaches to project management…
It can be a Lone Wolf model:
Labs can be made by a single author that designs the lab, generates all the graphics necessary, all the required scripts (instructions, questions, answers, explanations), records the voice over, and saves all these materials to LabHUB where they will be able to create the interactive elements of the lab such as defining and activating activities, hotspots, and more.
For more of a Teamwork approach:
Labs can be developed by a team that designs the lab, with distinct team members generating videos, graphics, and all the required scripts (instructions, questions, answers, explanations), a professional voice over etc. However large or small the team may be, LabHUB will accommodate it efficiently without duplication of efforts.
